- It is very common for patients to receive weekly massages to reduce tension and depression. MS has been proven to increase the likelihood of depression, but with massage therapy there is a way to cope and minimize these feelings.
- Plasma exchange is an alternative choice for patients with MS who have not seen results from common drugs. The patient has their blood removed, and the blood and plasma are then separated. Once the solution is separated a new plasma is introduced to the blood and mixed. Many find results for up to three months with plasma exchange.
- No scientific studies have shown that acupuncture works 100%, but there are many forums online that show how many patients truly have positive results from it. Acupuncture provides a release for your muscles and helps reduce spasms and MS flare ups.
